In the quest to get nutritious food while decreasing the number of calories consumed, our clients typically asks us what we recommend in the way of smoothies. While surfing the web, I came across this smoothie that is said to be both light and lean. Click here see the full article. So, I wanted to highlight it here to give our clients and readers another option in their food selection.

Low Calorie Fruit Smoothie

  1. 1/2 cup low-fat milk
  2. 1/2 cup strawberries, frozen
  3. 1/4 cup blueberries, frozen
  4. 1/4 cup fat-free raspberry yogurt
  5. 2-3 ice cubes

Put all ingredients into a blender and mix at high speed.

Makes one serving.

Per serving: 162 calories, 8 g protein, 29 g carbs, 1.5 g fat, 3 g fiber.

Note: One can always add a scoop of protein powder. Just add the calorie count of the protein to the total calorie count above. Even with that you still should be under 300 calories for the Fruit Smoothie with the added protein powder.

Let me know what you think. Did you like it? What fruit smoothies do you make and what is the nutritional facts? Also, visit http://www.low-caloriediet.com/ for other calorie options.
