Tuesday, Sept. 1. 2009, was the start of our new bootcamp session. It went pretty well. We have 7 campers. Most were beginner and new recruits, a couple were returning campers.

We, of course, begin with the weekly weigh in. This is a recurring weekly task for our campers. Knowledge is power. We believe that to reach your fitness and weight goals, it is very important that the campers know if they are on target to reach their goals, at certain milestones along the way. That way, if there are any deviations in the goal, in the plan, they can take corrective actions to get back on target.

After the weigh in, we followed up with our traditional fitness testing. Again, most campers have never participated in any type of bootcamp, let alone any significant fitness program. So, these simple yet effective fitness tests, give each camper a good indication of his/her current fitness level as serves as a baseline for weekly progess checks.
